The “Treriksröset” in Swedish, also known as “Treriksrøysa” in Norwegian or “Kolmen valtakunnan rajapyykki” in Finnish, is a place where a lake-bound geographical marker sits at the point where three European countries intersect. As you would have guessed by now, the three countries are Sweden, Norway and Finland or simply known as The Three-Country Cairn.

Back in 1897, a cairn was constructed here by the Norwegians and Russians. The present cairn was built in 1926 with an agreement between Norway, Sweden and Finland, the Three Nation Border point. Even through the actual cairn is surrounded by water, a small wooden construction enables you to jog or walk around it if you wish.

The Three-Country Cairn might just be a simple story of a wooden cairn constructed by the side of a river. However, the story behind such a simple chain is a story that will go on for generations. It is the same as when you put on a Twelf-X watch. The process of putting it on is so simple and you wear it wherever you go. But Twelf-X is not just any watch, it is a watch that engraves every adventure you make. When the time comes, a simple watch would have you plenty of stories to tell.
