There is a tri-country point wherein you will fall within three countries namely Germany, Switzerland and France. The tripoint itself is located in the middle of the river Rhine. Boats sail off towards the North Sea is also a transport hub for the supply of raw materials to Switzerland. A unique meeting place for the three countries, languages and cultures.

The monument, an iron pylon monument shaped like a rocket, that is named The Dreiländereck, is located on Swiss soil, on a point of land about 150 meters (165 yards) to the southeast. Though the actual tripoint is 150m NW of it in the middle of the Rhine River.  While there may not be much you can do at this tripoint, unless you are on a cruise, you will most likely find yourself in the town of Basel, Switzerland. Basel is also an easy access point to the German Black Forest as well as the largest theme park in Europe, Europa Park in Rust. Do also visit the Alsace region of France.
